In December 2018 Ravago Building Solutions acquired Dow Chemical’s European XPS business.
Ravago Building Solutions, Europe’s largest extruded polystyrene insulation (XPS) manufacturer, has relaunched its market-leading range of XPS. Ravatherm XPS X will be the new name for the UK’s best-performing range of XPS insulation boards for roofs, floors and fabricated products all with exceptional thermal values.
With a strong heritage and UK manufacturing stretching back 60 years, Ravatherm XPS X offers architects and building specifiers a wide range of thicknesses and compressive strengths which ensures that the most creative of design specifications can be met.
Ravatherm XPS X is moisture resistant and is blown with CO2, achieving a global warming potential score of less than five. Products in the roofing range were the first to secure a coveted Green Guide rating of A+ from BREEAM. Ravatherm XPS is manufactured locally in King’s Lynn, Norfolk to further minimise environmental impacts and shipping delays.
Panel Systems Ltd has been a distributor of Dow’s range of building products for over 30 years and now, following the acquisition, will continue to supply the range under the new brand names.

New data sheets have been produced under the new brand and are available upon request or can be downloaded from our website. The brand name changes do not affect the physical/mechanical properties, manufacturing processes, level of quality of the products or their availability in any way.
Panel Systems bespoke fabrication services will also remain the same, with Ravatherm XPS available for hot-wire cutting and CNC machining. We will also continue to supply from our state-of-the-art facility, which is ideally located just 5 minutes from J31 of the M1 motorway.
