The extensive capabilities of our 3 and 5 axis CNC equipment means that we are able to provide more accurate and complex patterns and shapes in materials than ever before.  The range of materials that we are able to work with is also more diverse and can include HDPE plastics, solid grade laminates and also specialist aluminium sandwich panels for automotive applications.

However, different materials are suitable to different applications, from panels made from Trespa®, a decorative high-pressure laminate which is ideal for architectural facades, to truck bodies made from ThermHex, an innovative panel core material manufactured from polypropylene honeycomb. It is therefore important to ensure that the panel you choose is right for the project you have in mind.

Solid Grade Laminate, for example, is extremely hard wearing and its thickness means that it is resistant to impact and can withstand cracking, scratching and other damage. The material offers a high level of water resistance, which is ideal for use in busy areas with lots of moisture, such as swimming pools, saunas and gym changing rooms.

Whereas High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) panels are increasingly being specified for use in play areas due to their performance and flexibility. HDPE is durable, corrosion resistant and weather proof. The material can be CNC machined to suit the structure of the playground equipment and the material itself poses no risk of splintering or sharp edges.

Sheet timber products like plywood and MDF are extremely versatile and can be used in a variety of different applications including construction, shopfitting and the furniture industry.

All of these materials, plus many more, can be cut, shaped and routed using our CNC machinery, delivering bespoke panels with superior accuracy, precision and speed. Manufacturing with CNC means we are therefore able to offer higher quantities of precision made products with shorter turnaround times compared to manual machining.

Here at Panel Systems we have one of the most advanced CNC manufacturing facilities, which also includes 3D capability, enabling us to re-create virtually any shape or design, including etched logos or images, cut at optimum speed with the minimum of waste.

Our CNC cutting/routing machines are capable of cutting and machining various materials including SGL, Plastics, Extruded Polystyrene, Aluminium Honeycomb, External Cladding Boards and Timber Sheet Materials.

Our skilled CAD/CAM team can also provide a tailored design service for standard and bespoke panels or customers can supply their own drawings in a variety of file formats including Solidworks and Alphacam.
